Love Happens (2010)- Jennifer Aniston

RATINGS: 2 / 10 -must not watch

Another desperate attempt by Jennifer Aniston to show to the world that she is a mainstream actress and not just one sitcom fame, (or an ex husband fame).

The movie tries to portray a young & dashing self-help guru Aaron Eckhart. He tries to emulate Dr. Wayne Dyre or a Deepak Chopra or any other psycho expert that comes to your mind. But he fails miserably at it. He was charming as a dashing speaker in ‘Thank you for smoking’. He tried to redo that part here too, but couldn’t carry it in the same way.

The story is good, but the screenplay could have been better. Direction and dialogues are awful. But the most disappointing part is that the movie title never comes into the play. Love never happens between the actors. Or even if it does it does not get noticed (another highlight of poor direction).

Now every movie has some interesting part(s) in it, which is specific only to the movie. It can be a dialogue or anything. I call it the Check point. This movie has 4.

1) It’s the A-Ok. It’s the sign that is shown for the human well being.

2) Climbing up of the stairs by Aaron & not using the lift. Not very clear though as too why he does it.

3) Jennifer writing complex English words. Did not make any sense whatsoever.

So in all, an avoidable movie.
